Preliminary Round 

   In the preliminary rounds you will battle a team and you must win 2 out of 3 games to win.

     To advance to the playoff bracket you must 2 matches. 

   If you lose two matches in the pre-lims you are eliminated. 

  Playoffs 

   In the playoff rounds it is single elimination all the way to the Championship!!

SMASH BRAWL RULES

TOURNAMENT RULES:

~ All sets will be 1 v 1
~ Three (3) stock
~ Seven (7) minute time limit
~ All sets will best of three (3) matches; Finals will be best of five (5) matches
~ Players have five (5) minutes at the beginning of a set to adjust controller settings, enter names, select a character, and begin the set.
~ STAGES:
1st match: Smashville
2nd match: New Yoshi’s Story
3rd match: Battlefield
4th match: Delfino Plaza (finals only)
5th match : Final Destination (finals only)
~ After the first match, the winning player may elect to change his/her character or remain as the same character, after which the losing player may elect to change his/her character or remain the same character. This character selection method continues for the remainder of the set.
~ In the event of a tie of stock at the end of time limit, players will play SUDDEN DEATH
~ ITEMS will be turned OFF
~ In the event of an equipment malfunction, the match will be restart from the beginning NO MATTER WHAT!
~ Glitches used to stop your opponent from controlling their character, freeze the match, or distort the physics of the game are banned. Using them will result in a forfeit.
~ Infinite stalling tactics of any kind are BANNED and will result in a forfeit. These are defined as tactics/glitches in which you cannot be attacked by your opponent by any means (I.E. staying underneath a stage indefinitely, getting stuck inside the stage).
~ Players who are using a Wii Remote, or any variation of, MUST remove batteries when not playing. Anyone caught not following this rule may be disqualified from the tournament and/or escorted off the premises.
~ Anyone caught changing the rules settings without a tournament official’s approval will be IMMEDIATELY disqualified. No exceptions.
~All rules are subject to change and will be fully enforced by tournaments officials. Officials will be available for assistance at anytime. Judges decisions are final.
